My blue hair and tutus ^_^

Okay, so I decided to post a few pictures from the tutu portion of the shoot I did with Tharn Photography. The tutus are by the very talented Jinx of MTcoffinz. I own 3 of her tutus already and I have the feeling more of her kick ass creations will be added to my collection soon!

MTcoffinz tutus are an amazing blend of unique tulle colors. The construction is very well thought out--the fabric covered waist bands make them easy to put on and take off and are very comforatable to wear! The kicker though, is that the tulle used for them is soooo soft! I've had other tulle skirts in the past that were itchy and scratched my thighs, but MTcoffinz tutus are made with quality bridal tulle that is not cruel to your gams, making them not only fashionable, but very wearable for hours of play.

In my collection of MTcoffinz gear, so far I have a black and red trashy tutu, a black and turquoise tutu, and a black and fuchsia tutu. Though, I'm sensing a micro tutu in my future too ^_^ There are so many styles and color combinations that it is hard to pick just one! Though the same goes for her accessories, which come in a variety of styles, colors, and screen prints.

Decisions Desicisions...

I have decided (as the title suggests) that this blog needs more content! I've been meaning to add reviews to this blog! Reviews with shiny pictures. Sometimes they might be silly, sometimes they might be serious, but it would be fun to review designers, DIYers, magazines, foods, recipes, books, you name it I'll review it! So stay tuned as I will have reviews for you soon! Feel free to comment if you'd like me to review your shop, products, or if you have a suggestion for a review you would like to see!

Also, as promised, I will have some new pictures for you very soon from my latest photoshoot with Tharn Photography! I'm thinking some of the outtakes might be fun ^_^

Last but not least I've been considering doing some giveaways/contests in the near future too! Who doesn't love free stuff, right?!

Photoshoot, etc.

Today I had my first official photoshoot with Tharn Photography! No preview pics for you yet, but I did get to sneak peek them all and I'm excited. We did a few different locations for a few different projects. It was a long day, but I'm excited!

I bought some strawberries today and had a handful when we got home. WOW! They were soooo sweet and delicious! I haven't had strawberries that good in a long time.

My new blue hair is holding up pretty well, I might need to retouch a few spots next week, but so far I'm impressed!

OH MY GOTH!

I just got home. I had a doctor's appointment this morning and afterward I stopped to get some lunch and then went to the post office to mail out some orders. On my way to the post office my crafty senses started tingling and I turned and looked in the shop window I was passing and saw bolts of fabric. A woman leaving the shop said, "You should go in, they have everything you've ever dreamed of in there." I was good though, I first went to the post office and then came back to the shop. Such beautiful fabrics, fun fabrics, and DIY-style patterns! A fabric store that's a 10 minute walk from my apartment!! It will surely be the death of my paycheck! I can't wait to go back. I picked up a pattern to make a diaper bag, one of the women at work is having a baby shower next month, I plan on making her the bag as a gift :) Hopefully she doesn't get a lot of diaper bags! Mine will have skulls on it though, so I can be certain she won't get any like that! ;P

Old Blue Hair...Not Quite

My hair was pink last week, but instead of my beloved SFX Atomic Pink, I had used what was most convenient at the time: L'Oreal Colour Rays in Fuchsia FLASH, which faded quickly. I was going to pick up some Atomic Pink to put over the faded pink this weekend, but Scott confessed he was not a fan of the pink, but much preferred red. So I pouted for a bit (not in the "red" state of mind) and contemplated the shelves of color at ZIA record exchange before both of us decided on blue. I debated between how dark or light I should go and ended up with something in the middle. So now my hair is Blue Mayhem by Special Effects. I read many good reviews about it on-line, and saw some nice pics of it over at the dyedhair community on livejournal. So now I am a blue haired vixen. Rawr.

Chocolate Covered Bananas!!!!

I had taken a picture for the last blog entry where I mentioned the chocolate covered bananas, but had not uploaded it at the time, so now you can SEE the bananas and not have to fantasize about what they might look like.

Chocolate Covered Bananas and New Hair

I bought some chocolate covered bananas from Trader Joe's today and had one after dinner. It was pretty good!

I also decided that I don't quite like this pink color I put in my hair last weekend. It has faded really quickly and the ends are almost blond already, so I've decided to bleach and re-dye my bangs this weekend. I might attempt to trim my bangs too ^_^ Now THAT'S DIY! ;P

It was cool and rainy today--so I splashed around in puddles and wore my Emily Strange kitty ear hoodie! It's crazy, it was 95 a few days ago and today I'm wearing pants and a sweatshirt!

I got some more work done on my sekret project...shhh...I've still got a ways to go, but I'm optimistic :) I also have some new projects I'm itching to work on, so mayhaps tomorrow I will start on those.

CUPCAKES!!!!

I baked cupcakes this week and I've been eating far too many of them and sharing with some coworkers and the boyfriend ^_^ I had 2 for breakfast today...shh...



It's been a while since I've made chocolate cupcakes so I'm a bit giddy over them!

I'm also in a good mood because I just got in some new supplies and they are WAY cuter in person! I can't wait to start creating more stuff!
