Cupcake Confession

I have a confession to make...I love vintage. I've been a secret collector for many years now. I love flea markets, consignment shops, salvation army stores, good will, yard sales, etc. for all of the wonderful treasures you can find. I like imagining who may have worn it or used it and how they may have looked, what the times were like.

Within the last 2 years I have started collecting vintage clothing patterns. At the time I started buying them I didn't have a sewing machine, but was ambitious. I still have yet to open them for fear the pages will be aged, but I may copy a few onto trace paper.

I sell a few vintage finds here and there in my kala~atita shop, but I might get back into hunting around for cool stuff again and make my kala~atita shop mostly vintage with some handmade accessories on the side.

Recently I've fallen in love with this seller, and in particular, feel some sort of longing for this dress.

Bizarre as it may seem as most of the vintage I like does not involve cupcakes and is not in it's remotest way goth, but alas, I felt the need to purge my secret, and share with you few fellow readers my love for vintage.

My favorite stuff is from the 40's-70's range, with a concentration mainly on stuff from the 60's and 70's.

I'll keep you updated on my latest vintage finds, wish list, and if I ever get around to making anything with those vintage patterns :)

Until the next confession,
Gothcupcake

Now that my parents are getting ready to sell the house...quite a few "fashion finds" have surfaced from the 60's and 70's. My mother was about your size (and by that, I mean a tiny biatch) so if I find anything good, I'll send it your way! I'm sure she will be happier to give them to a good home than to throw them out.
